After the great success of Gaetano Donizetti's Elisir d'Amore for Kids, it is now the turn of Gioachino Rossini's Italiana in Algeri, proposed in an agile reduced version directed by Grischa Asagaroff and the colorful scenes by Luigi Perego. Once again the funny story of the brilliant Isabella, who with her wit manages to escape from the harem of the Bey d'Algeri, the foolish Mustafà, together with his lover Lindoro and his best friend Taddeo, will make you smile and have fun, thrilling all to the eternal, magical game of comic theater. Rossini's overwhelming music, which Stendhal defined as "organized madness", with its extraordinary rhythmic impulse, original melodic inspiration, surreal nonsense will conquer and excite, as it has been doing for over two centuries.
